The Found Lovers

They sit across the table
These old ones from bygone
Smiles and nods erase the time
Lost and owed to others

Two that met while they were young
When muscles and wills were strong
Two that danced alone, together
On a dance floor full of dreams

Together once more…
Once more to share the time
As two pairs of wrinkled hands clasp as if to hold

Time from marching forward, relentless, so it is

They sit across the table, these old ones from bygone

a delight
This poem provides a lot of great imagery. You have captured the essence of devotion and love, magic, between two lifetime partners. I don't like to read poetry very often, but this is exceptional.
