October, the money felt so good in my hands
remember how i looked through hourglass sand
whatever whatever whatever you want from me
i'll fly it over the sky, sail it across the sea
do you really want the answers you seek
i'll only tell you what you want to hear
my eyes are closed my tongue is open
i miss the way the rain made it clean
step onto the train and ride
ride ride that fear away
come over the mountain and feel
feel feel feel the hungry day
locked safe keep your hands contained
i dive through your chain links awaiting praise
the mother cries and she points to her self
a china doll set upon the hidden shelf
the lover we kissed hands its heart to you
my arms are empty my skin is blue
my money is safe from my hands and my mouth
you feel no shame and you head head head south
step onto the train and take
take take take me away
row the river of tears and stack
stack stack stack up those bills you forgot
you forgot to pay

the envelope is unsealed but i won't let you in
i've mastered hate but i haven't mastered sin
