Wait until tomorrow,
The pain will soon subside.
At least he says heís sorry,
This time you know heís tried.

Wait until tomorrow,
The bruises will fade away.
And he will soon forget,
The things heís done today.

Wait until tomorrow,
Although youíre feeling blue.
Think back to times of laughter,
When your love was new.

ÖDonít wait!

Donít wait until tomorrow,
Speak up here and now.
Heíll get whatís coming to him,
Watch him beg and howl.

Donít wait another minute,
Just punch him in the face.
Let him know how it feels,
And put him in his place.

Donít wait any longer,
Kick him in the teeth.
Push him to a mirror,
Show him whatís underneath.

So true.

This piece had alot of truth in it and sadness. Truth because the wait part is what many abused woman actually do and don't wait because that is what the man should get. The sadness is stemmed from the wait section because it read almost like the woman felt she could not do anything to protect herself...

You have written a wonderful poem about a very evil thing. Thank you for helping bring this to light.

thank you
i have not suffered at the hands of any of my lovers, thank goodness but there are thousands of others who have, and it isn't just the women, but in the case of this poem it is (for those men that get abused, i will write a "unisex" poem along the same lines if you like)
so thank you for your gratitude.
