Are you there?

Are you there God?
Have you abandoned me?
Why have you done this?
You’ve taken him from me

You took my love, and
You’ve taken my joy.
You’ve stolen him and left me alone.
Why have you become a thief?

He used to love the beach.
The sun would touch his deep brow hair.
His sad brown eyes would start to shine,
When we visited the seaside.

We used to run along the sea.
Be loved to play catch, and only with me.
My little one used to lie in the sun,
To just sit upon the sand.

Lord why did you let him leave me?
Why am I left alone?
I have one last question.
Do all dogs go to heaven?

Saphira - death
I thought this was about the loss of a child at first.

I think the line:
"Be loved to play catch, and only with me."

should have read "He loved to play catch..."

Lovely
I love it, and it can interpreted as a loss for a lover or child until the last sentence; Do all dogs go to heaven, since all kids ask that. But if the guy was considered a dog, well.
