Wanted to stop in and say hello and relate how I miss being here to read all of your words of wisdom and humor and beauty and sublime ingenuity.

I am ensconced in all manner of matters that take my muse, and leave me little time for my fun, which includes my Lit time. Some of these pursuits are for the benefit of others, and some for my very sad, dwindling, pittance of a bank account.(Send money if you feel so inclined.) Lucky I am to be an optimistic soul and know, with surety, that fortune waits around the corner...
In coming up with title for this blog I thought I would mention Drsoos' query for Roman interpretations. I don't know that any are actually accurate as numbers go, but, so what?-
-LIVID- this is the number I feel when I think about my continuing saga to squeeze owed money from my ex... who's name happens to be Roman!
-MILD- this is my natural nature, or so I'd like to think (unless it comes to Roman)
and finally, for now
-CLIX- something that has been a plague since middle school, still is a plague in middle schools, and I seem to remember it even being a bit of a subject here at Lit.org.
To the subject of Countrymen, just a throw-out from exasperation- What the hell are they doing? Amendments to the f*@%ing Constitution about gay marriage and flag degradation, but no address to war, threat of war (Iran's nukes), avian flu, homeland "security" (can you BELIEVE they cut NY and DC budgets?), healthcare, energy/oil, ... , ...!!!
They sure know how to get all the patriotic fools to focus on the really important stuff. Can't wait to see what comes up between now and November to keep everyone distracted from real issues...
Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say I'm reading when I can, but missing way too much. Damn kids and their "needs"... (hope you know I'm kidding!) I'll be back when I can, and I hope that's good news to some of you!
Hold you in my thoughts and good wishes, all of you, but especially those of you who know without a doubt that I do!
Love, love, love (and namaste!)
