Dying is a real test of your social status - if you're a woman, it better not cost you your looks.
And they say women aren't practical.
Men have their own trouble with dying, and it's because we think we're logical. But we say we're logical with our fingers crossed behind our backs. When Jesus said "the Son of Man has no place to rest his head," he shoulda added, "and no place to park his shit." That's what Heraclitus is all about, No Parking.
We guys keep our fingers crossed behind our backs for luck. Good luck. In fact, we're looking for where the good luck starts and doesn't stop. That's what we think Heaven is, which shows how logical we are.
You see, women's concern for dying is cosmetic: they're afraid they won't look good at the funeral. When it comes to karma, you know they'd take the lighter load.
We guys say we're smarter than that, and keep our fingers crossed.
