Life, it can get me

Like chasing that dragon
Through my sleep
My worst enemies
Waiting there with smiles
And baseball bats
!swing batta! With engravings that say "Bye-Bye"

Like flying the cells
Thirty thousand feet up there
My worst 300 dollar spend
Gliding that metal box
With wings like paper hats
!please! don't get wet tonight

Like catching the toughest part
Of the toughest day yet
My worst nerve
Slacking, that lazy one
Who works only to get paid
!sham!And how do you?

Like today really
From third coast to desert
My worst everything
Lining up in a row
Just waiting for me to finally lose my shit
!shake baby!and I break

Like life
Getting scarier
Every single day
I used to be able to cope
But now there is no way
!swing batta! and snapping and taking dumps
on the sidewalk

Like life
Like that time I did it in a rag
In that shower
On the boat
With those dirty bastards from
Some dirtier country
Crapping all over the toilet seats

Like Life
Like payback
I still hate travelling
