Fancy Dancer, oh Fancy Dancer
Can you hear our native drum
As you move round and round
feathers and bells
at your feet.
Fancy Dancer, oh Fancy Dancer
Do you dance to tell our
Or do you simply dance and shake
for the "white man's" glory?
Fancy Dancer, oh Fancy Dancer
Can you even hear our elders
Or, do you simply call it "Dance"...
for more money in your string?

I enjoyed your verse. I could see the native dancer from your words. Sometimes, these do seem like showbiz. Good piece. bonnie
