stared around the corner
couldn’t see she already
had the prize;
take pills, eat pills,
snort pills, take pills….
little red dress hangs
off her bones loose
skin melted cheese
can’t eat cheese;
take pills, eat pills,
snort pills, take pills….
little red hairs fall
off overgrown, grey.
vacuum vacuum orange
shag carpet clean;
take pills, eat pills,
snort pills, take pills….
waiting on an angel
to carry her around
the corner;
couldn’t see she already
had the prize….
staring around the corner
around the corner
around the corner.…
couldn’t see;
she already had the prize.

------
to that cool mountain air on an appalachian trail, oooooh life is better there - yonder mountain string band
