I wrote this a few months ago and thought I had posted it!! Oops...

Loneliness is a parody to humankind.
To affront knowledge of kindness,
And regret,
I stand alone
After so long.
Begetting the future
Today without a glance
Or warning.
Destiny halts a desire
Confirmed in countless acts,
Not for keeps.
Footsteps on the move,
Slowly walking,
Not running.
Ultimately trying to recover
From losses
Bound to me at birth
Never faltering their
Course
Like magnets preying
At ease.
Knowing they will
Accomplish what they
Were always set out
To do.
