Author's Note:
Last night, whilst importing my CD collection into iTunes, I realised that I had lost my new Cat Power CD, The Greatest. I got it for my birthday two weeks ago, and I'd only listened to it once. So here's my sad strange requiem for a great CD gone (probably into my housemates room).

Cat Power, where have you gone?
You were the greatest-
You stood atop Sufjan Stevens
And reigned over Otis,
For a time.
Now there's a hole, a space in my stack
And Muse sits smug, triumphant,
With violins and guitars ablaze.
Where is your Memphis soul,
Cat Power?
It's not in Spoon (they killed the moonlight)
Or resting on the throne of Leon with the
Followill boys.
There are no ghosts of you amid
the shuffle.
You're gone, Cat Power-
Still gone.
