This may sting,
take a deep breathe and grit your teeth.
swallow hard and prepare yourself.
Donít watch, if that helps at all.
If you shutter,
if for some reason
you canít hold it in,
feel free to scream.
Youíd be totally justified
in shredding your vocal chords.
At this point,
everything is in place,
the quintessential needle,
a piercing flash of lights,
the destitute glare,
a split second of complete shock.

If your eyes are closed.
now is the opportune time to open them,
wrap your hands around something solid
and wait.
this hopefully forgivable sin
should take hold any moment.
its hard for you to stand,
and your lips go a touch numb.
that's completely
your head may swim, and you may lose sight of some things
but thatís probably what you were after.
A wonderful disappearance ...
from an oh so tragic lifestyle.

This may ruin a few things,
don't watch, if that helps at all.
if youíve forgotten to breath,
now is a lovely time to catch your air.
its hard for you to stand unsupported.
That being said
now is a good time to admit you have a problem.
This fantastic affliction thatís taken hold,
maybe isnít exactly what you need.
You might want to take a break,
unless of course,
you really are trying to hit bottom
and if that's the case.
this momentary bliss,
could be your dying grace.
