No Crying this time
He can't break my heart
Or can he?
I promised myself that he couldn't

Because of him my world
Came Crashing down
Because of him I'm afraid
To let anyone in

But can you promise me:
That you won't break me
Can you promise me
That I'll make it through this pain
Promise me that you'll be there
To keep me from going insane
Promise to protect me
And I promise to help you do the same

This pain sounds like my heart breaking
I'm about to give in...
I don't want to seem weak
But what if he's right?

He makes promises & breaks them
He was never there for me when I needed him most
He left behind an empty shell
So I can't just tak him back, when you've given me so much more

Promise me that you won't break me
Can you promise me that
I'll make it through this pain?
Promise me that you'll be there
To keep me from going insane
Promise to protect me
And I'll try to do the same

But you were there
When I needed someone to care
When I needed a friend to hold me
And you promised…

That you wouldn’t break me
That I’d make it through this pain
To keep me from going insane
You promised to protect me, now I’ll do the same…
