Have you ever heard of the tower of babble? If you haven't, then here are the basics. Many people got together to build a tower. This tower was to be so grand, so eminsly tall, that they would be able to enter heaven through this building. I am not going into the religious aspects of this but, acording to the bible, this angered God, so He made each person speak a different language. This brought to my mind a random thought. If we as a species could, way back then, build a tower that we thought to have rivaled God Himself, Just imagine what we could do if we could forget or differences today. Imagine if we each took it in mind to not belittle those of different beliefs, and those of diferent ethnicities. This may sound cleashay, but I believe that, no matter how hard the fight, as long as one man(or woman) still fights for change then change may yet come.
If the eye of justice must be that of a prejudice man, then why can't he at least be color blind.
And you may say that change has been made, and that we need to move on, but I disagree. Here is a prime example, A newspaper covering the katrina aftermath showed a black boy in his teens, wading through the water. He was carrying a case of coke and a bag of food. The caption said that LOOTING was prevelent in the city. The same news paper showed a white couple, also carrying supplies through waste high water. This caption said that the couple was FINDING SUPLIES.
But on the other hand, reverse descrimination needs to stop. I was watching the news some time back, and this guy created an all white coledge scolorship, as a dimonstration against previlant scolorships that support only sertain minorities. The scholorship was closed down and the man who started it was labled a racest basterd, even though he is of latin desent.
Actually it has gotten so bad in certain parts of the country (Mostly the south were I live currently) that even blacks cant be racest against blacks.
A sheriff in either Charleston S.C., or the surounding area, nearly forced to resign after he said(about a gange related death for which he was being criticised)"I can't be held responsible for every time one of these black son-of-a-bitches get themselves killed". The sheriff by the way, was one of the most succesful black sheriffs in S.C. history.
Another stupid thing i have witnessed, a kid in my fisics class was talking about the KKK, and he said something about a cross burning in his yard. The student was then taken out side and given a lecture on how racisim is bad, by, get this, a rich white man. I thought that was extreamly ironic.
So in conclusion, I would like to say that if true equality is to ever be reached we must stop critisising that which we se as outlandish, and that is a change that can only start in the mind of true revolutionaries.
------ To live ones life free from the constraints of judgement is truely bliss.
