We are losing our position as the #1 world leader and that really worries me. I keep hearing about other leaders coming in to "help" us. One (Prince Abdullah) is helping those in New Orleans to rebuild while another is helping those in Chicago I believe to heat their homes.

This may look sweet to some, but actually they are just showing our nations weaknesses. They are in a sense laughing at us. Thinking "Look at us we are coming to America's rescue."

We need to make reforms in dealing with new business and the import-export of goods. We should support them while making stricter regulations on businesses wanting to leave the U.S.

We allowed the dwindling of our economy and loss of our position as world leader. Now as we shift to the back of the crowd we should be worried? What does this mean?

We must always have the means ane be ready for any attack that comes. The only good that Bush has done as President is to protect us and that is enough. Although, I do not agree with Domestic Surveillance, it is wrong. It infringes on our right to privacy and search without just cause. For it to be legal they would have to find fault with every American, before recording their emails and searches, while they tap their phones. Is he trying to make our government Communistic? Did our leaders look at china and say hey lets be like them they are doing so well, as they repress their citizens natural right to information and free speech.

Basically, I am very pissed off about the current state of our position. We can regain our position if we take a hard look at our policies and our government. We have to make changes now that will show their effects in the years to come. Soon you will see that as we lose our position all of these other nations will be joining forces and forming alliances and the next thing you know England join them and we have war on our soil and then like the Romans we will fall. The president that is elected in 2008 must wake up and realize that we must fight for our nation and we must make the biggest part of our budget to the military and domestic programs to help our citizens and schools. We are also losing our might in the area of Mathematics. As our students are often lazy and drop of school. Our youth cannot be lost another generation.

Where will we be as we fall, losing our grace, defacing our name, it is right? What's the next game to be played in this game of war and power? America let's not fall from our Might and Supremacy. I would like to keep that, wouldn't you?

Whislt I agree that the US needs to change I don't agree at all with your sentiments.

The US is finally relaising it can no longer [retend it is not so dependent on the global community for its existence, influence and power. It has finally realised that no matter how much it flexes its muscles in one way, another part of the body will drop of (to use an old metaphor).

Yes the US does need to change. But the changes I am seeing, humility, greater understanding, an outward looking American people, is correcting a weakness you have had for many years, and is only now correcting.

Ahem Ahem
Thank-you for your comment londongrey.
In response I would like to say that we have great humility and we as a nation have always tried to understand other cultures. We support most of the world and yet you say that we ride on their backs? You are mistaken.
Our international policies have changed the way the world does business.
