This story will be presented serially on a non-uniform periodic basis. Hopefully there should be no more than a month between instalments so apologies in advance if there is. It is very much a work in progress so all feedback, critical or praiseworthy, is warmly welcomed.

Introduction

Des (Desmond Mujeni) and Di (Diane Sullivan) are a young couple very much in love. Des is adopted and Di's mother disappeared when she was very young. She is very close to her father, George, a successful businessman.

A regular walk in the countryside turns in to a fantastic adventure as Des and Di end up in a strange land in a different world. The strange land is Eardon and their only hope of returning home lies in completing a quest to find the fabled Golden Sword. They are assisted and hindered in equal measure, encountering strange people and strange places; forging great friendships and making fearsome enemies.

Eardon is an ancient land. It is part of a world in turmoil that holds many secrets and has much to be resolved. It is a world crying out for heroes & heroines.

Will Des & Di succeed?

Book 1 - The Golden Sword

Prologue

The old man stood in front of the hearth staring at the flickering fire. He was wearing a long white robe and stroking his long white beard. At length he turned to the tall, handsome woman beside him and spoke.

"Sillana, there are many worlds other than the one we inhabit. Some are like ours, many others very different. Nonetheless there is one universal constant, the need for cosmic balance. These are dark times for us, but this you already know. Events are being set in motion that may end this Dark Age. As foretold, the time draws near for the emergence of two new heroes. We must be ready for their arrival."

"Yes Blain," replied Sillana, "We must be ready."

sounds good so far..
I look forward to reading more, it sounds interesting. Just one little thing..perhaps the lady could walk in to the room behind the old man as though she was summoned, rather than them only standing at the begining. Just a thought anyway...keep more coming

Thanks PJ...
....it's still a work in progress; so who knows, she may well end up being "summoned"!
