when casting about for something profound
it only takes a minute for the lost to be found.
just the twinkling of an eye for one to come around.

And in this way all I ask of you,
Is to walk a joyful path through and through.

though it's hard when all around is dark and lifeless.
and you cannot see the light cast by your soul.
Just remember that wherever your mind takes you,
at the end of each journey there's a home.

And when self is lost and all is dull and hopeless.
When you haven't got the will to follow through.
like a child we cannot see what is before us.
and we never guess we're here in all we do.

just like water when the wine is sat before us.
we choose what we do not need, for it is true.
all it takes is one still moment of reflection.
as true self appears when self is listened to.

and when all is said and done there is but healing.
As the mind relearns what is calm and mild.
and one wonders at the simple truth of being.
when self comes running up to greet us like a child.

Profundity in simplicity
I like the way you highlighted the futility of looking for profundity, since profundity is staring us in the face in obvious simplicity, waiting to be acknowledged. Beautiful work.

So glad you're posting again!
