Just another day

Up at dawn to coffee

And a bump

A bump to jar this stump

Then the rest of the pot

To set the morning jog

A pace to compete in the run

For the marathon of life

Then laps in the pool

Surrounded by bump after bump

Irritation and euphoria shout the stocks

Up down the rounds at lunch

We all know todays winner

Back to the grind of the day

Bend over and pick up the peices

So pain is gain

The boss says

Do what you got to do

Ten to four and time to shoot

For five with drinks to follow

The last hour is mind play

Just to get through

But, it feels good

It's been a long day

I don't know,
Just know I tripped and didn't fall...
This time...

hectic

I like the way you got this hectic pattern down to the "t" girlfriend. Makes my head spin just to think that at one point I lived that life, and fell…really hard.

Robin didn't fall
"...and the winning rat is..."

(No other species but humans engage in such psychosis).

Thanks for this reminder of how crazy we've let it all become.

Tripping 9 to 5....
Screwing up, screwing and getting screwed, in the rat race...and the winner is nobody in an illusion of "self"-medication for the almighty
dollar, but eventually, you're going to need a nose job, after falling on your face...I've seen a "few" reconstructions, with inspiring results.

The Heaven and Hell of it is...
Life goes on.

Little time, Robin Hi
Hey sweetie, seen my poetry of late? Disillusioned and saddened as well. But, always hopeful, I hope, as is yours.
This was dreary,
but grab you by your shirtcollar dreary. It was the "can't get worse" that brought such sad life to this piece.
Thanks for this piece of your heart.
Hope all is well-
Elizabeth

Always like seeing you around...yes, I'll agree, there was a realistic pace to this write, thank you for seeing...to share with you, most times my thoughts are experience in words, this write was inspired by anothers problem, very close to "home" for me...When I think I've wrote well,
it easily flows from my hand, few intense, struggling, exasperating thoughts go to my hand...I just write, and it just is...
