Someone once said
That I was emotionally challenged
That I didn't show
That I loved them or was sad.
But you've got to ask them
If you've known me
For longer than a week, or a month
Why are they just now noticing?

Then one day I said:
There's only one person who can make the sky blue
He knows me through & through
One person who makes the grass a brighter green
He comforts me, not worries me
One person brightens the world to my eyes
He makes me laugh so hard I cry
One person I trust not to break me
He never forces me into anything
Just one person you'd never guess
This man, this person... is you

I almost cried when that boy
Said good bye
Now I look back & laugh
It was you who provided the voice in the dark

You brightened my world
Opened my eyes
Swore never to force me into anything
And silently said you'd never hurt me

Thank you
For always being there
Thank you
For always listening

You made the grass a brighter green
The sky it's brightest blue
Brightened the world to my eyes
Never breaking me
All of this was you
Bet you never would of guessed.

This one's dedicated to:
Mitch McEntire "Thanks for never giving up on me, or leaving me down in the dumps! xxoo"

Gimme something to believe in... yea yea
