Fat back slab, baby back ribs potato salad, babies dressed in colorful bibs, music playing underneath the sun loud laughter fills the park slow dances in the dark.

Watermelon, spagetti, corn on the cob, greens, baked beans, macaroni and cheese screams set off by buzzing bees...

Softball, volleyball, icecream and cake looking for more pictures to take.jump- rope, singing and dance contest wet t-shirts from squirting water guns families having fun in the sun...

Visitors, fiances, husbands and wives children playing, cousins having the time of their lives, snoozing a breeze in the shade, under the trees people laid...

Car lights, car horns on in the park playing cards, listening to soft blues in the dark, strolling back and forth down memory lane, listening to the engines of over head airplanes...

Packing up now food to take home, kissing and hugging good-bye the children start to moan, what a great day we all had...

Starting out with- Fat back slab, baby back ribs potato salad, watermelon, baked beans, spagetti, corn on the cob, greens, macaroni and cheese quieted the sound of the buzzing bees...

..At the Bar-B-Q.

Corn on the Cob
yummy, yummy, I got food in my tummy! Yes indeedy, a juicey, delicious and mouth watering poem. Superb imagery and setting. Good solid words used in plain english. A very nice snap shot of life, serving up tender juicey fatback slabs. Boy, it just make my want to water. Well, this poem make me feel like taking my hat and boots off and drink me a tall glass of sasparilla. This tasty poem gets high marks from me. When do we start eatin'

I know right! every time I read this I get hungry! My family were having a reunion in the summer and I was in the hospital, wishing to be there..just writing off of pure imagination of what it would be like, I'm glad you liked the imagery!
