Life is like an amusement
Park

Where much time is spent
Waiting for your turn,

And you must rub elbows
With the masses

To enjoy the thrill of the ride.

Many things of worth
Come free with admission

The price of the rest
Is extremely high,

But a lot can be learned
About human nature

When you choose to study
While waiting in line.

Most of what you need
To know about life

Can be gained from the
Experience.

It is all there for
The taking

If you just keep open
Your eyes, ears, and
Most importantly, your
Mind.

rubbing elbows

"Many things of worth come free with admission"
Pretty much sums it all. Good metaphors, although rubbing my elbows with the masses is something I am not too keen on...good food for thought.

Thanks Lucie & Laura
Your comments rule! Lucie you must be a people person. I personally am not, I suppose you could say I am a recovering pp. Recovering from all the wounds inflicted on my person...Laura it sounds like we share the dislike of rubbing elbows. However from a distance people are fine and benign for the most part. Char just the other day expressed an opinion and got jumped right here on Lit. so there are some exceptions to that even.
