I have seen the Earth from space
And know it is but a stone
To be tossed around in the endless black sea
Pushed back and forth with monstrous tides
Our very own stone to love and cherish
To bleed and burn and rape
To scar and tarnish with our arrogance
But I have seen the Earth from space
And I know that everything you’ve know and seen
Every girl you’ve loved, every hand you’ve held
All the tears you’ve shed, blood you’ve bled
Exists on a mere speck, a granule of light
A pathetic smote of blue in horrible black
We rest upon the head of a pin
Stuck in space, tumbling through time
And drowning in our lives
