A Poet’s Muse

Our life is
Like a page
Turning over
Over and over

A poet indeed
Is a poet in-need
What song best
Describes our
Writing styles?

To do what
We was put
Here to do
While we’re
Here to do it

You can call it
What you want
An ending or a
New beginning

Musing in the
Midst of day
Or at night

"If we will seek the counsel of the One who keeps us, and not of our own understanding; Then we would accomplish much, much more" - ~Jeannie Simpson~

J45's: Poet's Guide
Jeannie- Interesting read/write..Starting with title, as "muse" can be "poet."..As well as inspiration, guide, source of wonder, deep thought...

First verse could be read as karmic inflected, referencing reincarnation.

Didn't find second verse strong. Perhaps, after a few more readings...

Another subliminal karmic reference in third verse, as well as possible refs: to a heavy guru, like Jesus or Krishna..

Fourth verse: Another karmic transcendance reference?...

And final verse: Marveling, wondering, thinking, penning...All possibilities..

Great write, as well as read. After reading a piece, I sometimes wonder, could I have penned that?...This is one of those times. Love levels.

Inspiring..and inspired..

Muse on,
Bobby

Back to muse
Jeannie- After several reads, along with Lucie's comment noted, I see second stanza with freshened perspective. Have come across: 'poet/artist indeed/is in need,' before. You do add unique perspective, with next three lines, giving weight.

It's been a pleasure, allowed view, through representations, into hearts and souls of more than a few here. I feel lucky..honoured, given this place to visit.

Hope year to come brings you much peace and happiness..

Respectfully,
Robert William

Thanks to Bobby & Lucie
Bobby - I'm always paying attention to your words - You select the most precise words and determine the most effective order, pauses, breath -taking pacing, and present an engaging impression of a single, unique day. And that's the way I look at your work, very unique, I consider you to be a literary genius. Thanks for the warm and kind comments.

Lucie - Thank you all around. Your poem collections are infused with sacredness and sensuality, I can say with the sacredness of sensuality from Sound to Vision to Touch. Love your work!

Thanks again both of you

Blessings,
