There is a long road

That goes on and on

This road is straight

Then it is not

Sometimes in a circle it takes you

Other times it is straight and narrow

Then you hit a curve

Then another and another

Then straight again

The sights are unbelievable

At times so beautiful

So bright the sunshine without a glare

As you journey the storm may hit

No forcast foretold

Carefully or recklessly you travel

Then from no where, a blowout

You swerve from one side to the other

With a prayer and the angel at your side

You fix the flat and continue

Sometimes you want to stop

But, you must go on

Your journey has a destination

And you will surely get there

The road is long or short
As you take in the view
It becomes clear, this road is part of you

Don't go too fast, don't go too slow...

Keep your eyes wide open
And God will show you the way
To find your home to rest and stay.
