8 And A Half-hours

How can time pass so slow
A ticking clock, lighting the world aglow
8 and a half-hours, its real murder
510 minutes, could it be any longer?

3 million seconds till this heart breathe again
It all seems so far away
A distant dream which replays everyday
These 3 million seconds, shall they ever end?

The sparkle in your eyes
Your clever smile in disguise
A conniving mystery
Keeping this fire a blaze

Late night insomnia
Life never seems easy
Rocking upon a sofa
Thinking of what should be

I know you donít feel the same way
I know you donít count the 3 million seconds as I do everyday
Your life seems to be a breeze
One traveled with joy and ease

My heart eclipses any logic
A fiery storm clouding the sky
the mood is perfect, so hypnotic
Too bad youíre stuck inside, peering with one eye

Only 8 hours left
480 minutes until the rebirth of my death
2 million 8 hundred thousand, itís a short coming
Imbibing sleep, the corner of my room rushing in
Can this truly be reality?
