What is chi?
According to Chinese philosophy
it is the circulating life energy
inherent in all things.
Chi spirals spin the hours.
Bringing balance to whomever it spins for.
Slowly then even slower still the spiral...
...comes to a fleeting stop.
Only to reverse its direction...
... and spin again.
Back and forth and then forth and back.
From sun-up to sundown....
....and all through the night...
...never ending constant movement.
No more daylight savings time.
More like daylight spending time.
Sun-up comes later and sundown comes quicker.
Still the chi spiral brings balance
to whom it spins for.
This change of time has pushed my clock forward.
I arise even earlier now than before.
Not wishing to waste one precious moment.
I crave early morning meditation
with my hot cup of java.
I watch the spinning chi spiral spin for me.
And feel the symmetry of my life energy.

Chi Spirals
I think I haven't seen you post anything in a while and wanted to say it's nice to see your name on the front page again.

This ia a lovely, flowing piece that describes truth. There is synchronicity, although we can be blind to it. To try to move with the forces is the only way to blend in to the program.

I am night owl however. Have always preferred to watch the sun come up from the other-side of sleep.

"Chi spirals spin the hours." -you had me totally caught with that line!

Bows gracefully in gratitude... my warm welcome home.

It feels great to be back. Indeed I have been away too long. Let us just say I was on a sabbatical initiated by a life altering event and leave it at that. I had not an ounce of literal inspiration in me, thus I turned to painting. And now I have returned again.

I thank you both, Elizabeth and Lucie for your kind compliments.

Carol, welcome back,
I really like this piece of work....although it doesn't seem as it was hard flows as I read it over several times, grasping the meaning that slips through my hands but not away as it spirals continuously. I really like this Carol, and welcome back.
