Creepy seepy thoughts decimation, consecration, aggravation, dissimilation of all human relations.

Needy, feedy mouths consumption salvation aviation stravation contemplation of every nation as to where and when the end comes, after the moon or before the sun.

Dagradation, humiliation voices in salutation, congregating and emancipating of the jaws gyrating, the invigorating savoring the taste thats consummating our bodies and life's blood.

Greedy government vows to change things re-arrange things bringing things of all proportions together lying, testifying, genociding, cultivating and administrating, stealing and wheeling- dealing Nations- Lost and gone wrong...So what of the National Anthem, the Nations song? Land of the free home of the brave? More like the rich get richer and the poor remaine slaves!

Scary hairy bugs- west nile filled bugs, neighborhoods that sold non-prescription drugs, Bombs burting in air and families in despair.

No movement, No movement of bugs govrnment sprayed pesticides gave us soapsuds in tide, what of the pilgrims' pride?

The ramparts we watched
The ramparts we watched

From the cradle to the grave Jesus died that we might be saved- Not enslaved, over worked and under paid or even made.

John the Baptist did wade prayed and in the water he stayed for consecration of all Nations through Christ that we may have life and that more abundantly. Call it! Call it redundant that we transformed it and made it what we wanted.

On the front and back of bills slated and stated "In God We Trust". But the Nations are heated and hated, upon this rock on which we stand- Not above board but on sinking sand.

America?

America
There is a pounding rhythm to this that underlines and boldfaces all the statements the poem makes. This would be a great poem for a poetry slam, where inflection could be better appreciated.

I like how the important issues are addressed, especially the hypocrisy. I like cynicism without bitterness.

You're right, LaShea, your spelling and typos need correcting.

I like the final question "America?" and what it implies: nobody's answering for America, and that is a truth which needs to be spoken.

Thanks for this declamatory eye-opener.

I find that I really enjoy these poems so much that on first reading I never even noticed the misspellings.
