Dear Ben,

Thank you for submitting "This Moment of Freedom" to ---.
Unfortunately, I don't feel it's for us. The narrative failed to really
engage me.

This, of course, is my subjective and fallible opinion, and I wish you
the best with "This Moment of Freedom." Thank you again for submitting.

Dear Mr. Nelson,

Thank you for sending "The Copper Strain" to ----. Unfortunately,
we won't be accepting this one.

While the story is well-written, I'm afraid it just didn't catch my
interest. I would also ask, should you choose to submit to ----
again, that you use Standard Manuscript Format.

I wish you luck with the story elsewhere.

"'You think you understand me," said Kerouac to Mark. 'You don't understand me at all. You want to fight about it?' Mark said nothing, not knowing who Kerouac was or what he was so mad about." -- from Palm Sunday by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

Well done!
I always wondered why there was no postings for this section.
"Surely, not one person has ever had a rejection letter,"I thought.
Afterall, if I could make a pound out of everytime someone said to me to expect rejection, I'd be well on my way to funding my next project.

Well done, Lucidish. I'm proud of you. Not only for being brave enough to post these letters, but for trying in the first place!
*BIG hugs*
