A stone in a setting
seen with lustful eyes
Men have killed for such treasures
Ideals treasured as diamonds
precious as rubies
Men have killed for these
died for them as well.
Shimmery, invisible,
almost tangible but not quite
yet within the grasp of all.

Ask me what is love?
What is truth, freedom, beauty?
I can describe-
Not define.
Yet in their ethereal glow
Mankind basks
Searches
Longs
Prays
Bleeds
Kills
Dies
Gossamer threads of ideas worth more than any
mere stone.
