Persecuting Me

Every time I feel rejected
Lord you show me just
What your son went
Through for me, and
Every time I was abused
All I could think of, is how
Jesus was abused for me

Woman Vocalist
So many are persecuting me
Because I love you so, and
Even though it feels like my
Heart is about to break into
A million pieces… Lord that’s
Ok cause if you be for me
Who can be against me?

And when I feel his touch
All I can say is This is the
Day that the Lord has made
I will rejoice and be glad in Him

Man Vocalist
I’m gonna keep on prayin’ prayin’
Until you make something happen
For me Lord… nothing in this
World can separate the love I
Have for you

Mmmm, gonna talk about you Lord
To every ear that wants to hear
Even until my death
Mmmm Ooooh Mmmm

I suppose that few people who are nonreligious will be able to apreciate this song. I, however, think that this is a great song. I would just like to suggest that you try to avoid using some of the cliches of this genre of music.
