My Flesh seeks honor and my flesh seeks fame
Wanting always glory and never shame
My flesh wants to known as one that You sought
My flesh wants to be praised as one that You caught
My flesh wants to be revered for its knowledge of You
My flesh wants to be famous for its point of view
My flesh wants to be honored for all of its deeds
My flesh wants to be respected for all that it reads
My flesh wants to be beautiful in its own sight
My flesh wants to be strong by its own might
My flesh seeks You only for what it can get
My flesh wants for itself without one regret
But thanks to You my flesh is not me
And from all its death You set me free
Though to me it's very much alive
It's totally dead as seen through Your eyes
To be nothing on earth is a gift from Thee
To never be remembered is just fine with me
All I want is for You to be known
All I want is Your Life to be shown
All I want is Your Torch carried on
All I want is Your Light burning strong
All I want is Your Banner to waive
All I want is Your Witness portrayed
All I want is Your Testimony raised
All I want is Your Name to be praised
But if only one want I can get
All I want is Your wants to be met.

Always revealing...
I understand a little better the struggles of my own faith when I read your poems. Thanks again for illuminating these things.
