Roses are red, violets are blue
But these are just shadows of the beautiful you.

Wildflowers flourish abundant and free
Yet these can't compete with the freedom I see

When I look in your eyes and see how untame
True beauty can be when it fears no blame

Here in this dungeon where no seed survives
One magnificent blossom is yet so alive

Erotic and lusty, sultry and coy
Your body moves a man to behave like a boy

But if one should capture a view of your bloom
That inward radiance that hides in this room

Shall he be deemed silly for wanting that lily
For longing to care for it wholly and freely

Is this then my crime for finding a flower
That my heart considers with all its power

Which night and day passing seem not to forget
The petals my hands can touch not yet

The fragrance so sweet it brings me again
To this withering garden that knows no rain

With hopes that I'll find still planted and living
This beautiful flower but mine for the giving

This made me think of my beautiful daughter. Who or what were you thinking when penned? I'm curious.
