The route this country is taking is really making me sick. Today I read about a State Senator from Indiana that wants a "Unauthorized reproduction" bill to pass. In it, people that can not have children would have to pass a few select "tests". They would have to be married etc. Why? Because the Senator is a Methodist. lol It's not funny, but it is. The woman's name is "Miller". No kidding go look it up. Never mind this President whose political moves bewilder his own party. You know, I've read the Constitution more than the Bible, which I've read I dunno how many times, and the rules FOR impeachment are clear as day. High crimes and misdemeanors and all that. Lying is an impeachable offense, telling someone to lie is an impeachable offense. Ok I got it. This only serves as proof that the Legislature on the Federal level does NOT represent the best interests of America. They serve the interests of the Party. Plain and traitorously simple. I wonder when the average American will realize it... probably when the T.V. goes off.

Well, I HAVE to agree with you guys: You can't legidslate morality. But your "slant" is NO more pleasing to me. Good thing we have the freedom of choice as well as speech, eh?

Right attitude; wrong reason
I disagree wholeheartedly with the ignorant, shameful bull-dongle that the Senator and this bill puts forward. But I'd like to make something clear -- it has nothing to do with Methodism. I'm a Methodist and my mother is an ordained Methodist minister, and neither of us would have anything to do with something that stupid.

Just wanted to make it clear that not all Methodists are right-wing, fundamentalist conservative, creeps.

I'm a left-wing, liberal Christian creep.

Methodists...not Methodist-ism;-)
Some of my best friends are Methodists, like the Presbyterians, and Catholics, and the many other mainstream non fundamentalist religions, never had a problem with any of them, so don't blame the Methodists....nope, many have said their best friends were Jews, back then I was included among them, now I guess that for the past 10 years their best friend is a Tibetan Buddhist and ALL have been OK with that, I found most Methodists very cool and charity oriented, like the others I mentioned above, including the Jewish and the Buddhist, LOVE OVERRULES the haters, the baiters, and the ignorantly hateful CONTROL WIERDOS hehehehe;-) And, by the way, I have in my family, my husband's side fundamentalist/evangelicals that are not the least bit of hateful either, though among all, there are exceptions, so NEVER blame or generalize...this thing here just happen to have a Methodist involved, but it was not about Methodist-ism...

All laughable really, so laugh, my lama reminds me to all the time, and the Dalai Lama laughs still, even though his people are going through cultural and physical genocide, there are so many things in this world to get upset about, some things just aren't worth more than a laugh or a few seconds of thought, like this bozo senator, over and done, gone and forgotten...
...too much darn seriousness going on all the time;-)
