The Soles of Your Shoes

It's the soles of your shoes
that will take you far and wide
going through your roughest time
you're in your finest hour
time; giving yourself and share'
little of possessions mean nothing to you

It's the soles of your shoes
that will take you far and wide
pouring out your soul to other souls
is much bigger than having material things
your ears thirst for the sound of your heart's knowledge...plants your seed and keeps it watered

It's the soles of your shoes
that will take you far and wide
keeping hope alive, don't step backward,
but step forward into your righteousness
believing for God to give you a break-through
to open your eyes so you can see!

Feet
Eric;
Thank you for the comment. Yes, walking can pay off, especially walking a couple of miles just to witness to people up or down town. Neighborhoods. and you really need a good pair of shoes. It's the soles of the shoes that will take you far and wide.

"Diamonds on the sole of her shoes"
Also at the worst of times the soles of your shoes could feed one's hunger as it did for Chaplin. All jokes aside Jeanie, I do like this. It gave me an image of man walking through nature, enjoying what is meaningful in life (that which is below and above his feet rather than enjoying what is in front of one's own wallet).

Although I'd rework these two lines for clarity:

"time; giving yourself and share'
little of possessions mean nothing to you"
