Where is the Glory in War.

In the Shields Raised on High.

In the Swords laid Low.

Where is the Glory in War.

Bayonets Gleaming in the Sun.

Muzzle Flash in the Night.

Where is the Glory in War.

A fallen Enemy, at your feet.

A fallen Comrade, at you side.

Where is the Glory in War.

In the Wailing Arms of Defeat.

The Soaring Wings of Victory.

Where is the Glory in War.

Tina, yes I am a veteran. I am against the war.
but I do support out troops. I want no man to recieve a Doggie dodo bag. Like I did upon my return home.
Glory is one of my more subdued poems of war. I have been debating to myself about posting a few more in here. But I am waiting to hear from the publishers about them. Perhaps I will write a few just for in here.
The Treatment of Veterans is a passion of mine and is reflected in many of my works.
The nightmares of war are something a veteran will have to live with for the rest of their life.
I will get off my soap box now.I am happy that you enjoyed. If I can be of help let me know.
