We say we love God! but hate
What purpose does it hold and serve?
Enjoy life why so much hatred in your heart?
Why is there so much envious, strife? ---
I believe the devil has a strong hold on some
People who are weak, miserable, and just don't care
It's so sad that we can't even love one another
So sad, to point fingers at others when you alone
Need that inner healing

Hatred; How can one sing unto God, with all
That malice, hatred, strife in their heart
Is it so hard to say, I'm sorry? I forgive you
Or, will you forgive me? You talk about one another
Why? I see no passion! You throw clever remarks
Why? What kind of heart do you have?
A bleeding heart, loving, painful, just full of hatred

Ask God to search your heart?

How can one become what God wants them to become
You have an attitude, that's ok, but you seek after your own
He does gives us wisdom, and after wisdom, He gives us
Knowledge, and after knowledge, comes understanding
Which of the three you do not understand?

Love is Powerful, but I think that Hatred is just
As Powerful

Why So Much Hatred?

because we are human and have yet to discover the true meaning of "love thy neighbor", I love your thinking and you way of presenting your heart, however I have to say this and I know you won't agree, but the churches are the biggest spreaders of hate and racism throughout the world, second comes governments....Sad, but it's true and documented history...Anyway, before I get to rambling.....terrific write, and you're right, hatred is just as powerful, if not more powerful than love.....peace

Dear Jeannie
I too, believe hatred is very, very powerful.
I have seen it in it's truest of evil forms of late, I have to admit in family. My own blood, yet blood means nothing when driven by hatred, envy, jealousy or possibly insanity. I have had to let some things dear to me go, my family, or at least parts of...

It's not okay, yet it is...I haven't been around much lately, and I can tell you, this is a Robin that is even new to me...Death and not wanting to die can do that to a humanbeing...Jeannie, as always, your heartfelt, thoughtful writing's and the courage you have to write them, touched me, even more so now...

Bob;
I don't disagree with you about churches are the biggest on hatred and racism; As a matter of fact I totally agree with you, but it is so sad though.
Thank you for your comment on this.

RobinBird;

Wow...
I like the way you projected your feelings by telling us, the readers, the reality aspect of Hatred that we sometimes tend to ignore. I especially like the fact that your words present themselves as a billboard for all to see "How can you say that you love, yet your heart is filled with hatred?" That's a very good poem..Excellent writing.
