Fear is only a term you make it out to be;
It's full of shit if you really ask me.
Poison the mind and weaken the soul;
Till the setback gains full control.

Like a puppet, it slowly pulls your strings;
'Till it has you making irrational decisions.
Stiffen your lip and take its name;
Then quickly make it's threshold a yesterday.
Narrow your eyes and grit your teeth;
Before the weakness has you walking on your knees.

But you gotta do it on your own terms,
That's a bridge just begging to get burned.
Pain isn't fear leaving your flesh;
It's a false assurance that makes no sense.

Draw the line and make your stand;
Grab it by the balls if you wanna be a man.
Don't second guess it or compromise;
It feeds on your apprehension with every disguise.

I bleed ink.

Frighten
EddieEaves;
I find this to be effective; But to feel fear in (oneself) is dangerous. I think we all have been there a time or two. But God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of a sound mind.

A reverential awe of fear (of God)
of heights,tests, etc) of anything that put that fear in you.

Blessings,

Fearsome?
It's fear itself that makes a man,
That makes us us fight for all we can.
Fear of failure, fear of pain,
Guides our way to give us gain.

Don't be afraid of being scared,
Even when your soul is bared.
For this can help you stay alert,
When in the face of fear you flirt.

....I really do believe fear is one of our most useful emmotions and helps us to survive and succeed!

Have Fun,

Ivor

Your senses sharpen and your wits,
To find the way around that fits.
For evey hero'swalked this way,
And faced their fear, in their own way.

Fearsome?
Tom,

Just to give a different perspective:

It's fear itself that makes a man,

Fear of failure, fear of pain,
Guides our way to give us gain.
Don't be afraid of being scared,
Even when your soul is bared.
For this can help you stay alert,
When in the face of fear you flirt.
Your senses sharpen and your wits,
To find the way around that fits.
For evey hero'swalked this way,
And faced their fear, in their own way.

Face your fear
Never knew this one was going to get that kind of response.

The irony is I'm partly afraid of heights, but I wish to conquer it by going skydiving. I'm afraid of spiders, so I make it a point to look at pictures of them so that they're not that intimidating the next time around. I have also though about standing in the dark to slowly remove the unknown aspect I have about it (from horror movies)

I think if we use our passions and apply them to our fears, then we may be able to reverse our apprhensions.

I always struggled with the notion that we have to fear God. If we love God, we cannot fear him, because when we fear something we want to get away from it, so we can't really love what we fear and we can't fear what we love. Either we fear it (and separate ourselves from it) or we love and embrace it. I think fear has been confused with underestimation. I don't underestimate God, because he is the creator of all thing so I respect him fully. But fearing him.....I don't take his name since he hasn't taken mine in vain.

Obedient
EddieEaves;
Not so much of fearing God. But if any one has read the Bible, They know all in the scriptures, that it says to fear the Lord. Too many people don't fear God, and play with Him as if he is a toy. We all have our different opinions, but if one do not fear God, than he is on his own. Too many people in this world say that they love God, but don't want to be obedient. There are some who are doing things that they should not, but that don't mean that God is not searching out their heart, because they could have a good heart, and love Him with all of their heart. Example;>>DAVID

Then there is Paul, who use to be saul. He did not fear God at all, until God took a christian killer and made him one of the best disciples who not only feared God, but loved God, and wrote half of the New Testament.

I live by God's voice, his presence, and His Holy Spirit, and most of all, I live on His Words...

Anyway, enough of that, this is only some of the scriptures that I can remember, there are more. That's why when we read His Holy and inscribed words, listen to Him while He is talking to you.

Genesis 42:18
Exodus 18: 21
Leviticus 19: 14
Psalms 66:16
Job 1;9
ISAIAH 29:23
LUKE 23:40
ACTS 13:16
I Peter 2: 17
REVELATION 14:7

Now, either these prophets and Great men of God is lying, or God's words are in vain. I trust God and His Sword. The Bible says that He is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent.

I love God and I fear Him.

But we all have our own beliefs and I honor that.
got to get back to work.

Blessings,
