Cancer (Acrostic)

Fighting till the very end
until there's nothing left to do
continued prayer can bring about
kindness, from the one who made you

creating hopelessness that steals your dreams
arriving at the worst moment it seems
nothing in life has ever been fair
courageous battles fought just for air
every once in a while I can smile
remission sadly, only last a short while

this is an acrostic, where you read
the first letter of each sentence down
to form a message.....Dedicated to all
those who have and will face this
horrible battle, may God bless you
and give you the strength to win...

"If I told you my reality, you'd
say I have a great imagination,
If I told you my imagination, you'd
say I've lost touch with reality"-Bob Shank, 2004

This is beautiful
Bob;
You are a Rare Gem. Thanks for writing this poem; Prayer is the only thing that we can offer up for our love ones. A few years ago, my cousin was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor's were baffled, because all of the cancer disappeared, and they did not understand. But alot of faith and prayers went up. But we all have an appointed time with death. But we know that all things work together for the good of them that love God. Faith and Prayer, even unto death. I say Rejoice, if their soul is right with God.

Blessings,

^_^
I enjoyed your poem. My grandfather had cancer a few years ago but with prayer and faith, the doctors were surprised at his recovery. He had surgery but they weren't sure that they had gotten everything. When they checked a week later, they couldn't find a single thing wrong.
Just recently though, they found something again. I guess he had a type of cancer that could appear again at any time. We're praying for him and I sent him your poem and he loved it. Thanks. ^_^
