The forecast called our blind manís bluff
our levees fined were not enough
to tear the dreadful numbness from the pain

We gassed the tanks and single file
away we crawled mile after mile
then turned to watch the drowning of the day

Fair Katrina, turn away
My Katrina falls away

The king within his escort fled
above the floating, living dead
to claim whatís left will serve his noble nod

The rooms received the elements
laid skeletal before the rent
of ladies screams removing grand facades

Our Katrina, turns away
Dear Katrina, face the day

The body is a season,
the mind, a timepiece
and the spirit, a cloud passing.
