Four words about Moses
Four words about Cindy
Really, what's the difference?
The second is trouble

Trapped in a dream
Demands to write well
Four words about Moses
But thinking of you

Your mom is yelling
Off the porch stairs
Out at the goats
As salty waves dance

She rings out clothes
Sings to the sea
I wish my girl
Could write about Moses

Letters and forms abound
Signed in red ink
Reminds me of blood
Signing away my soul

Forcing me to repent
To beg for forgiveness
Stalking is sheer evil
Step on my head

There is a chance
That you'll be mine
Because you can't find
Four words about Moses

Not so great now
Your poetry washes away
Aghast I must find
Four words about Cindy

Four words about Moses
Sorry, I'm not Jewish
Four words about Cindy
I need you anyhow
