Can Ya Help A Brother Out

just lost his job
can't feed his family
another worthless bum
degraded by society

a child born crippled
and walks with a cane
other kids laugh
his leg no longer the pain

highly recruited athlete
ends up in court
stayed tuned to ESPN
for the "what a shame" report

teenage boys
on the corner selling drugs
lack of education
has turned them into thugs

the world continues to condemn
without benefit of doubt
instead of lending a hand
to help a brother out.....

Copyright Bob C Shank
many times we see things and just
shake our heads, wondering how it
could get this bad, then we go about
our daily lives doing nothing. It's
easy to complain, but if you aren't
helping to fix the problem, you have
no right to complain. Be a human, do
something nice for someone TODAY....

"If I told you my reality, you'd
say I have a great imagination,
If I told you my imagination, you'd
say I've lost touch with reality"-Bob Shank, 2004

Helping Brothers Out
This is quite some writing here. Jesus insisted or rather He commanded us to Love one another, as He has loved us. He wants us to feed his sheep;(give them the word, and show them love)

God gave us His only begotten Son, He spared him not, and delivered Him up for us all.(Romans 11:32)

Why is it so hard for some to help a brother or sister out?

Jesus said to those on His left; depart from me, I was hungry and you fed me not, I was thirsty and you did not give me to drink, I was naked and you clothed my not, I was sick, and you did not visit me, I was in prison, you visited me not.

Whatever people neglected to do unto the least of them, is neglecting to do unto Jesus.

A prayer,or praying with someone is better than seeing them suffer, and having them thinking no one cares. What an awesome poem Mr. Bob.
