Be careful what you wish for.

Happiness is an elusive and slippery thing. What it was yesterday isnít what it is today. What it is today isnít what it will be tomorrow. It changes shape, changes color, changes meaning, changes life.

All we can know is what it isnít.

It isnít what I had. It isnít what I have. It isnít here. It isnít now. It isnít anywhere.

Promises betrayed. Lives destroyed. Hearts broken. Friends gone. Iíve become invisible. Like I was never even here at all.

The only thing louder than the deafening silence is the sound of tears rolling down my face.

Is this the price of happiness? Why bother.

Damn man. Are you one of those lonely rich guys? If so, I'm sorry man. I may have an idea of what could help your blues. Show others that are where you were. Those eager young capitalists, willing to cut throats for what they've been told is happiness. I don't know why you are so blue, but I do have an idea. I'm on the other end of the spectrum though. I'm dirt poor, wishing for a couple more bucks to invade my wallet. I'm not willing to sell my soul for them though. So, I wish you more happiness my friend.

Thanks for your comments. It wasn't about money. It's about the struggle for the pursuit of happiness resulting from dissolution of an unhappy marriage - and the collateral damage that occurs in the process. You have to move through the pain and suffering to come the other side healed...

I see. I too have gone through that shit. It sucked, and it felt like I had been lied to all my life. All that Shakespearean loooove. Wooing, and all that shit then sounded like complete lies. I felt betrayed. Then I remembered that the only way you can score, is to shoot, and if you are too scared to shoot more than once... you'll never win the game.
