According to this article the Web is helping save Libraries. Technologists warned that the Internet would revolutionize the world, replacing books and paper.

I've always thought that this was a possibility, but I've always thought that the Web would ehance these things. It's a natural evolution of the information age, not a replacement for any given medium. Use of the Web is creating more informed shoppers, buyers and readers. Instead of randomly buying things, we can research it, decide if we like and and make a much more educated decision increasing our trust in what we are buying. End result, we buy more, or read more.
