How many winter moons
have waxed and waned
their shadowed hour
upon the starry stage
since the frost of betrayal
overpowered my hardy love
and I ceased to dream
of snapdragons?

Midnight in the garden...
I like this. Almost Shakespearean, but stopping just the right side of pomposity - nicely done. Why snapdragons? Somehow, they're the last flower I'd expect to appear in the punchline of a poem like this...

snapdragons
It's a long story but basically an ex-girlfriend of mine and I had a garden. When we picked out flowers, I noticed the snapdragons and so we got some. I guess for me they were a symbol of a tranquil, domestic life.

Sean's Garden
Very nice piece, Sean.

I'm liking the garden and fruit theme lately! These pieces are so true; real. Delicious! You really seem to be writing in your element lately. And I'm enjoying your efforts.
