When compassion wanes, morality enters
when morality wanes, ethics arise
when ethics wane, laws are written
when laws arrive, crimes occur
when crimes occur, regrets arise
when regrets arise, repentance comes
when repentance comes, compassion returns

The wheel
I had to sit back and reread each sentence, stop, think and then go on. I think I have been reading this for hours. Well there you go, you actually made "scary girl" think. Good for you John. I really like this.

This is very thoughtful and meaningful. I'll try to give you a holler the next couple of days.

cycle
I like that you started and ended with compassion. It gives the human element in the cycle. I believe it's one of the best traits of humans.

And yeah, there's crime because there's law. Something like, how do you know it's evil if you don't know what's good.

Good write!
