He can hit the ball and
Control the roll.

She can always hit the
Ball into the hole.

Both perform with the
Expected amount of flash.

Both take away large
Amounts of cash.

Their fans by the thousands
Always attend the games.

In person or by one of the
Many mediums that help
Promote their fame.

All in the name of
Sport; entertainment
For the mindless and lazy.

Time, money, and energy
To mention a few, wasted
On an exercise that,
In my opinion is crazy.

For the world abounds
With priceless art

And to pass it over in
The name of sport is
Simply just not smart.

Think about it…

Thanks Lucie
The quote from Mad made my day. You know I was expecting to take a lot of flack for posting this piece. But all the sports shit I am force fed finally made me write something from another point of view. It is comforting to find not one of my fellow muses took a swing at me.(must be all the great minds @ Lit.) And you dear lady even gave me a "Well done!". Thank-you Lucie............Romay
