Write a poem for you?
Oh, my lord!
What a task you ask of me.
My gift lies in writing stories and essays
Not writing poetry.

I thought and thought and thought again
Until it registered to me
That Iíve never told you what I see in you
Future and presently.

In my eyes I hold a filter
Seeing two things presently.
I see things as they are right now
And things as they could possibly be.

I see you from two different points of view.
Iíve never told you what I see
The topic just never ever came up
I only talk about it on bended knee.

The man I see in you right now
And the man I see you becoming
Are two totally different men
Iím surprised if you canít see it coming.

The man you are right now is wonderful
Please donít get me wrong
But the man I believe God wants you to be
Is wise in his youth and unusually strong.
He knows exactly who he is and what he is to do.
In God he stands upright and solid
Dedicated and completely true.

He is respectful, honest, and keeps his word
Focused to do no harm.
He is called of the Lord and he knows this,
Ready for battle, Godís strong arm.

Heís quick to pray and talk to the Lord
Others seek him for counsel knowing heís this way.
Heís a father of many and loves every child
As he lays his hands on them to pray.

He loves his wife and cherishes her as God tells him to.
His eyes donít wander from woman to woman
As other menís eyes often do.
His eyes always seek
To find his own spouse
His wife, his well, his love forever,
The Queen of his house.

You are this man, if you desire
If conceivable in your own mind.
Itís probable, practical, and good for your soul,
A goal never letting you fall behind.

Iíll help you get there, if youíll allow me to
This miracle I pray to see.
That God will fully manifest Himself in you
YouÖ
His devoted servant to be.
