This is a story of a girl
in an unaccepting world
only 5 she sits alone
so tiny, developing bones
Eats her lunch gazing away
waiting for the end of a day
where she can go home to her brother
doesn't have to worry about others
and she'll cry when shes hurt
and she'll play in the dirt
but it will probably be alone.
Shes growing up now
8 or 9 years? how
Turning to a pretty girl
Life taking her into a whirl
Still isn't accepted in school
because shes smart and plays by the rules
Eating her lunch still alone
waiting for her star to be shone
Is she just forgotten by the others
or is she a misfit or they dont love her
she has a nice home, nothing wrong
but with others the day seems so long
Why can't she find her place?
Shes about twelve this time
her bell still hasnt chimed
She has people she calls friends
but she questions them in the end
They lie and cheat and play bad games
Some smoke some drink she thinks its lame
eating her lunch alone with people at noon
only thing keeping her going is she goes home soon
Anti social is she maybe to you
but she wants friends but none will come through
Caught stealing for acceptance she did
Maybe it was for the best she said
Will it ever be safe?
About 15 now and boy is she growing
right now shes writing a poem
about her life and how she hardly fits in
How she just cant do the trends
Eating her lunch with some good friends
Real friends until the end
Still shes not happy she cant forget her scars
but she knows good enough that shes come this far
look how shes grown
she has good bones
she has her friends
this isnt the end
when will it end?
She wants people to know ecspecially the young ones
this is a notice that you shouldnt ever run
you will one day be able to fit in
no its not now but since when was this the end?
Someone will love you
Some people will hate you
Not going to lie
yes you will cry
Just please dont give up.
