Things Come and Go - By Daniel L. Tracy

Things come and go
Making me wish I had my notebook
Flashes of her without me
With him in her arms
In my head

Him in her

Pouring out her pleasure
Pleasure that is
The essence of her
her sexuality

I know a thing
Or two about sexuality
The way it burns to be
Without her though I'm
With her in my mind
In my heart

In my dreams

Things come and go
Making me wish I had my notebook
Flashes of sexualiyt
That make me want to love
Her in my mind
Make love to her
In my dreams
And shield hope
With a weapon of love

I speak in metaphor

I keep using words
And imagery to help
me perceive the inconceivable
To dream the impossible
To dream for hope through

To dream

I keep dodging my own mind
In the playground of my life
It hurts when my mind
Tags me without warning
And makes my heart
Play games without frontiers
Games that I can't win
I must win

I never lose

But losing is part
Of the game when
Playing in love
And dreams carry no
Strategic advantage
Over their daylight sister

Things come and go
Making me wish I had my notebook
Flashes of me without her
within me
Making my passion and rage
one with sexuality

I speak in metaphor
to dream the day away
in imagination's cruel slumber

Once again, I continue my quest to break through the glass ceiling and score an A instead of simply a B+. *smilez* Thank you for the comments, Jess. I think I'm going to write a poem using punctuation just to see if I can do it.
