Perched atop the pinnacle,
rising over desolate immensities,
sunk in the deepest depths of reverie,
far beyond hunger and thirst…

Blazing sands
sweep out to distant horizons.
Giant outcrops of sere rock
loom sinister over the desert floor…

The sun raging in the Heavens
blazes living flesh off whitened bone..

...Shrouded within the utter Darkness
your being roils through crazed frenzies
as ghastly nightmares rack your soul-

Of the little bush of thorns,
poised over the precipice
suddenly flaring forth-
shot through with
strange ,preternatural light…

Of the terrible Voice of Doom
thundering down
from the towering ,cloud-veiled mountain top
shaking the Earth to its very core..

Of the ghoulish demon goddess,
wreathed in grisly garlands of skulls ,
her ebony form blackening the skies-
pounding out her terrifying dance of destruction
over the eerily stilled ice blue waters
of the mountain-girt lake…

Of the monstrous hawk of your Nemesis,
plunging ,
in that last fell swoop-
giant wings slicing through the skies,
flashing talons bared for the kill….

...Sanity hanging by the slenderest thread,
you teeter on the brink of the abyss…

…Then ,on a sudden –
Redemption Sublime
wafts down.
The Light of Love Ineffable–
pure , virginal white-
floods the dark spaces -
beaming through the prism of your being,
illumines the Dark ,
with a myriad ,brilliant rainbow hues.

Joy – soaring unbounded -
pierces through hands , feet -and crown.
Sacred blood wells forth ,
streaming through your soul,
now stilled forever.
Beyond the open door
you sense ,yet dimly,
the Glittering Presence of the Divine.

….Far below ,
the vast multitudes surge past,
in their frantic , Gaderene rush -
away from Redemption -
down into utter extinction.
